At least that’s what it seemed to Brit Diane Bowers, 45, who immediately took a snap of the apparent UFO.

The “alien invaders” turned out to be a freak cloud formation.

But mum Diane, a chef, said: “I half-expected Mulder and Scully from the X Files to come around the corner.”

The stunning photo of the water vapour “UFO” — taken in Sierra Nevada, southern Spain — now takes pride of place on Diane’s living room wall in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

She added: “People always do a double-take when they walk in and see it.

Federal Whistleblower Laws and Regulations (Updated July, 2008)

On March 12 a Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2009 was launched as a Bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that gives protection to whistleblowers working on national security issues and for federally funded contractors. Currently whistleblowers who disclose cases of abuse in the national security and corporate arenas have no legal protection against retaliation from their employers. The Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2009 would for the first time give protection to whistleblowers who disclose abuses in the national security and corporate arenas. A number of whistleblowers have come forward to disclose abuses concerning the willful suppression, manipulation and destruction of evidence concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life by national security agencies covered by the proposed Act. If passed in its present form, the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act will make it easier for whistleblowers to come forward to reveal such abuses without retaliation. This may finally lead to disclosure of evidence concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

The original 1989 Whistleblower Protection Act, did not give protection to national security employees. An initial version of the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act was first passed by the House of Representatives in March 2007, but was not passed by the Senate due to Republican opposition. A renewed version of the Act was introduced in the 111th session of Congress on March 12, 2009. Both the 2007 and 2009 House versions of the Act protect whistleblowers in various national security agencies and federally funded contractors from retaliation for blowing the whistle on government or corporate corruption or abuse.

One of the co-sponsors of the House Bill is Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-Md) who said:

We’re here to reintroduce the legislation to insure that national security whistleblowers are protected. If somebody has already received a top-secret clearance, if someone has already been determined by our government to meet all the security clearances, if that individual sees waste, fraud and abuse, we have to have a mechanism for that individual to report it without fear of retribution and firing.”

Section 10 of the Bill extends whistleblower protections to employees of “the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency, and the National Reconnaissance Office.” Furthermore, Section 11 extends whistleblower protections to employees of companies with government contracts. This is a very significant development given the role of corporations in government funded projects related to advanced technologies that may be related to recovered UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

LAKE HAVASU, AZ – A boomerang or triangular-shaped craft 300 feet in the air made four passes over this town beginning at 7 p.m. March 18, while “fighter jets” followed in formation, according to a witness report filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base is about 60 miles directly west of this area.

A family bar-b-que was interupted as the object made its first pass over the city while four jets trailed “an enormous craft clustered of dozens of amber lights/orbs.” The witness said “we could all make out the triagle/boomerage shape because of the stars being blocked out as it passed them and by the small, very faint reddish glow or light at the tip of the ‘wing.’”

Thirty minutes later, the same object again passed over town while the jets followed, but not in formation. Then during a third pass with jets following again, the witness said, “It definately blocked out the background stars and was boomerang shaped. Its amber lights at the center of the body were the strangest part. I could not tell if they were on the outide of the craft or if that part of the craft was transparent.”

Thirty minutes later, the object made a fourth and final pass, the witness had obtained a video camera and shot footage.

The following is the unedited witness report from MUFON. The witness quotes in the story above are unedited. We will follow up with more information on this case as it becomes available from Arizona MUFON investigators.

Boomerang or triangle craft, 300+ feet across spotted multiple times at apprx. 10,000+ ft. by multiple witnesses Wednesday night over Lake Havasu City/Needles, CA (video taken!).

First sighting

1st sighing – Wednesday night, March 18th apprx 7pm 2009 my family and I were enjoying a bbq/fish fry in my father-in-law’s backyard. I noticed the fighter jet engine noise and looked to the sky. The first thing I noticed was 4 fighters with standard strobes flying in combat formation (Lead plane forward, wingman to the right and slightly behind)

There were two sets of two fighters trailing an enormous craft clustered of dozens of amber lights/orbs. They were all traveling North to South at a consisant pace at first sight, then changed direction at about 280 degrees South to head North-West.

Traveling North-West, the craft and jets flew directly over our heads.

10 people were in the group, 7 people witnessed the event including myself. As the craft came dead straight above our heads, we could see clearly that it was a huge vehicle. At that time, it appeared to have a main body of amber lights and a “hull” and one wing outstretched to about 300+feet.

What was odd, was that we could all make out the triagle/boomerage shape because of the stars being blocked out as it passed them and by the small, very faint reddish glow or light at the tip of the “wing”. The fighters jets kept pace and followed, maintaining the same distance througout.

Three UFO low fly reports over IN, CA, VT
Indiana UFO witness captured this image on March 19, 2009.

Three low flying UFOs were spotted over Indiana, California and Vermont on March 19 – and a fire ball-looking image showed up on a young woman’s Utah mountain photography.

Lights in a triangular shape were witnessed over Michigan City, Indiana. The object hovered while the man struggled to get his camera to capture the event and he finally snapped one shot as it moved out of sight.

A California sighting is described by a witness as looking like an  “upside-down shiny metal plate.” The object finally “shot away.”

In South Burlington, Vermont, a witness watched a “distinct circle of yellow light” make an “extremely fast trajectory towards the ground.” Just down the road he observed “about a dozen police cars pulled off the road into a field with all lights off” from several different surrounding towns.

The following reports have not yet been investigated and are unedited from the MUFON database. We will report back on any MUFON investigation.

Indiana, March 19, 2009 – Hovering strobing triangle for around 1 min then left at amazing speed.

I was on my way to work 3/19/09. At 6:20 AM I looked North from CO RD 400W where I was traveling West. I saw a pattern of lights blinking in a triangle shape, accenting the corners.

It looked as if it was blinking 10 times at each point for 3 seconds.

The light moved in a clock wise blink pattern following the corners. The object looked stationary in a hover. I knew it was nothing I had ever seen before. The distance was what I precieved to be over Lake Michigan to the North at least 10 miles from where I was. My guess on altitude was in the 5,000-10,000′ range.

I grabbed my Camrea phone immediately and started to get the camera started 1.3 Mega pixel, it’s a T mobile phone. I opened the moon roof on my SUV and started taking pics and saving them as fast as I could… I could not get the lights strobing on 3 attempts.

The 4th attempt I was successful in capturing the object, as it light brightly white and speed upward at an angle. I was 100′ short of the intersection of 400W and Cleveland Road in Michigan City, IN. (See attached picture).

California, March 19, 2009 – shiny flat disc shaped object flying low over neighborhood

I was driving down Fremont Blvd., heading toward Irvington District from Automall Parkway. I had just turned onto Fremont Blvd. when I noticed something shiny with red on it low in the sky off to my left.

At first I thought it was a low-flying helicopter coming towards Automall, until I realized that it wasn’t shaped like a helicopter. Also, it seemed to be too low for a helicopter since the freeway was a bit further off to the right (east) than the location of this object. Then I thought it might be a really big remote-control toy.

As I paid closer attention, I noticed that the object was actually flat-shaped. More like an upside-down shiny metal plate. And it was REALLY shiny. The sun was glaring off of it. As I watched, it curved further to the left, towards me, over the neighborhood, and then it started to go away from my location, heading north/northwest. Before I could determine anything, it had shot away and was not even discernible in the sky. It went from flying away to being far away in just a few seconds.

The Shag Harbour UFO Incident was the documented impact of an unknown large object into Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia, in October 1967. The crash was investigated by various Canadian government agencies, and at least one underwater search was launched to recover remains of the object. The Canadian government declared that no known aircraft was involved and the source of the crash remains unknown to this day. It is one of very few cases where governmental agency documents have formally declared an unidentified flying object was involved. Several interviewed military witnesses, including a diver involved in an attempted recovery, have claimed an alien spacecraft was responsible. It was also claimed by several of the witnesses that the U.S. military was involved in recovery attempts. The case was also briefly investigated by the U.S. Condon Committee UFO study, which offered no explanation
