A CITY centre resident was amazed on spotting a UFO flying across the Chester skyline on Sunday evening while standing on his balcony.

Canadian Marty Wilbur, 29, who lives in Hush House, next to The Chronicle office, was on his mobile to a friend back home when he noticed a pulsating orange light rising up in front of him to the east of the city at 9.02pm on Sunday.

Quick-thinking Marty filmed the mysterious orange glow as it tracked northwards then disappeared out of sight, possibly behind a cloud.

He said: “I could see this orange ball rising up, at a 90 degree angle, straight up, then it just sat there, sat still for a few seconds. To my amazement it started moving side-ways. Right away I recognised it wasn’t something normal that I had ever seen before.”

Marty, who is used to seeing aircraft over-flying Chester, added: “There was no sound at all. All you can hear are birds chirping on the video.”

Marty, who works for a company supplying Vauxhalls at Ellesmere Port, is unsure about the idea of aliens visiting in high tech craft.

“I think there could be something out there but nothing has ever been proven. We are so little in the whole scheme of things, I don’t see why there couldn’t be.”

Marty shouted his American partner Mandy, with whom he has eight-month-old daughter Abbey, and she joined him on the balcony.

Mandy, 25, who describes herself as “sceptical”, said: “I was kind of surprised. There was no sound at all. It was pretty strange – like an orangey lantern. It rose slowly and then all of a sudden it got really quick.”

She added: “If anybody else knows a logical explanation for it I’d be interested to know.”

Cheshire police did not have any reports about the UFO.

The Ministry of Defence was “not aware of any incidents occurring at that time”.

A spokeswoman said: “The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity. Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported.”

Three bright, orange, circular lights were witnessed above Chester on January 24 this year. Two orange lights were seen above Liverpool on April 21.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION OF THE WITNESSES:

Thomas Sloan is a laboratory director and has been living in his newly renovated 1,635 sqft. single-family home since September of 2008 along with his fiancée Danielle Davis, a radiology technician, both have degrees in chemistry.

INTERVIEW – SEQUENSE OF EVENTS:

April 16th, 2009, approximately 03:15 AM in the morning, Danielle was awakened by loud humming and she than woke up Thomas to have him check out where this strange sound was coming from. Thomas walked from bedroom to bedroom to look through the windows to see what was causing this humming, thinking to himself that it may be a street cleaner sweeping the area roads or some sort of utility truck working on something. He returned to the master bedroom to look through the window that was next to Danielle and he noticed a very large triangular craft hovering above. The craft was totally black with no lights and from his point of view, had a boomerang shape resembling a very large “stretched out” F117 Nighthawk about 300 feet wingspan. The UFO was hovering slowly heading towards SE and took about 17 minutes to pass over their house and to fade at a distance. Thomas said that the humming was very loud, constant and sounded like an electrical transformer. That Saturday, Thomas mentioned to one of his neighbor Dean about the strange incident that occurred early Thursday morning and Dean did state that he heard the humming and was reluctant to continue the conversation. Upon my on-site investigation, I did notice a parked squad car belonging to Ann Arundel County PD on the same street (209th) that belonged to an officer that resides there.

CONCLUSION:

Thomas was perplexed and a bit shaken by this incident and wondered if this was an US military aircraft, why would they built such a thing!  He also stated that most of the home occupants who reside on his street are either with the military, law enforcement agencies or working as government contractors.  I found Thomas Sloan to be very credible, logical and he really isn’t into the whole sci-fi scene or the UFO phenomena.

A similar case involving a black triangular craft sans lights was witnessed five years ago in Owings Mills, Maryland, about 20 miles NNW from Pasadena, MD.  February 9, 2005, a Frank Griffin, a Lockheed Martin software engineer, witnessed a low altitude triangle, about 500 to 800 feet above ground with no lights.

This time the video was taken with one of those video camera phones. My question is why are these people doing these videos what are they trying to prove or gain from it. Have a look at the video you be the judge of it.
It looks like the video was made using windows or mirrors. Anyways its poor quality and wouldn’t pass as a real UFO to us anyways

Here’s a video of the moon surface. The Eastern Oceanus Procellarum crater. As you can see there’s a structure of some kind. Is this a real or a fake photo? With all the computer technology and picture editing software it maybe. Will NASA tell us that this is a fake photo? If so can we believe what NASA says? With all the cover up’s in the past I wouldn’t believe them one bit. A GLOWING object in the sky left Joan Morrison gasping in amazement as she looked out of her kitchen window.

The Inverness woman had visitors at Burnside Cottage on Tower Brae South last Friday when she went to make a cup of coffee and saw the UFO.

“I’m not a sci-fi buff or anything like that but I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” said Mrs Morrison, a 58 year-old widow.

“I suppose it can best be described as a big square thing with a yellow and orange glow. There was no sound so it definitely wasn’t a plane or a helicopter.

“It passed right across my kitchen window and went behind a holly tree in my garden.

“I called to my friends who were visiting from Aviemore and we dashed out to the patio. But by then it’s shape had changed and they could only see a slim line.

“One of them suggested a Chinese lantern but I don’t even know what they are.”

Mrs Morrison talked about her experience to neighbours and one them recalled a story which appeared in the Highland News in January about similar sightings in the Highlands.

A sighting of an unexplained flying object was reported to the paper. In January, advertising executive Billie Wealleans from North Kessock told of a strange encounter when she spotted orange lights in the sky above her home.

Similar sightings were reported by people in Easter Ross and Lochaber.

The reports followed an incident in Lincolnshire when a wind turbine was badly damaged after locals saw similar lights travelling towards a wind farm site.

Ministry of Defence insiders claimed the turbine could have been damaged by a Stealth bomber which was on a training mission in the vicinity.

A website www.ufoinfo.com shows many different accounts of UFO sightings and Mrs Morrison said the one that came closest to fitting the description of what she saw was experienced by a woman in Renfrewshire.

“She described how she had been working in the West End of Paisley and was alerted to a light in the sky by two strangers,” Mrs Morrison said.

“She said it looked like a large, flat orange shaped dish.

“The object wasn’t flashing but remained very bright and was hovering – moving from right to left and back again.

“The light I saw was orange and yellow and it was a large, flat square. I had a really good view.

“It was right in front of my eyes. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing pass straight by my window.

“It’s something I’ve never witnessed before and I was amazed.”
