Update
On July 27 2009 Several residents, both in Ottawa and in Gatineau area claimed to have seen a light fall into the Ottawa River.
Some witness say it was a loud thunderers sound (sonic boom) with a light that fell into the river that night and police equipped with inferred camera equipment haven’t found anything.
Fire fighters on the scene also haven’t found anything. No word as to what the military is doing but I’m sure there involved in some way.There was a helicopter from CFB Trenton on the seen.
The waters are not safe because of the current and sending down divers can be difficult. They use sonar equipment and did notice something that is 9 meters big (30 feet)
what is it they don’t know but speculate it can be rocks or logs.
The search will go on.
